Lattice Suite › Docs
Free documents in your browser.
Write and edit documents with a free Lattice account. No ads, nothing used to train AI, and nothing to install.
Free to start. No card needed.
Write in your browser
Lattice Docs is a place to write: letters, notes, essays, plans. Open it in a current web browser. There is nothing to install, and your documents sit in the same account as your spreadsheets, slides and files.
A document can have headings, bulleted, numbered and to-do lists, quotes, code, and bold and italic text, with Markdown shortcuts as you type. You can import a Markdown or text file, and export a document as Markdown, HTML or plain text.
Your documents are not our product
- No ads. We make money from people who choose to pay for more storage, not from attention.
- Nothing used to train AI. We do not use your content to train anything.
- Take it with you. You can export your documents, and close your account whenever you like. When it is closed, it is erased.
The details are on what we do with your data, in plain words.
Where Docs is today
Lattice is new. Docs covers writing and editing, but it has fewer features than word processors that have been around for decades, so check that it does what you need before you move anything important. It is made for everyday writing, from a short letter to a long report.
A document belongs to your account alone: there is no sharing and no editing with other people at the moment. You save with the Save button (or Ctrl+S, Cmd+S on a Mac). Nothing is saved automatically, and Lattice warns you if you try to leave with changes you have not saved.
Free, and what paying adds
The free plan includes 15 GB of storage for your documents, spreadsheets, slides and files. If you want more room, a paid plan includes 200 GB and costs $2.99 a month, or $29.99 for the year during our introductory offer (through January 20, 2027), plus any tax. Payments go through Stripe, who acts as the seller. You can cancel online, and the free account stays. See full pricing and the refund policy.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. A free account has no card on file and no time limit. Paid plans are optional.
Who can sign up?
Lattice Personal is open to people 18 and over in most countries. The Terms of Service list the few places we cannot serve.
Can I keep copies of my documents elsewhere?
Yes. You can export what you have at any time. We would rather you stay because you want to.
Is Lattice a Google Docs or Word replacement?
It is a different, smaller thing for the same job: writing documents. If you want a simple, ad-free place to write, try it. If you depend on advanced layout, add-ons, or sharing and editing with other people, you may not be able to switch yet. See Lattice and Google Docs compared fairly and Lattice and Microsoft 365.
