Lattice Suite › Your data
What Lattice does with your data, in plain words.
What we keep, what we never do, who else handles it, and where the limits are, without the legal language.
This page is a summary written to be read. The Privacy Notice is the complete and controlling text, and the Terms of Service cover the rest.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads, and we do not work with advertising networks.
- We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
- We do not use your documents, spreadsheets, slides, files or mail to train AI models, and we do not read your mail to show you ads.
- We do not send marketing email. If we ever do, we will ask first.
- The Lattice service has no advertising or analytics trackers. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies.
What we keep
- Your email address and the name you give us, to sign you in and show who you are.
- A salted, one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
- What you make: documents, spreadsheets, slides, files and their recent versions.
- Your Lattice address and your mail: every message you send or receive, with its attachments and folders.
- Mail records: for each message the time, the servers and addresses involved, its size and whether it was delivered, plus counts we use to spot spam and a note of any limit or hold on a mailbox.
- Sign-in and security records, and your IP address as seen when you use the service, to keep it safe and stop abuse.
- Payment details only if you buy a paid plan: the plan, amount, dates, billing country, the last four digits of your card and a payment reference. Your full card number goes to Stripe and is not stored by us.
Who else handles it
Two companies act for us: Amazon Web Services hosts the service in the United States, including your mailbox, and delivers the mail you send to addresses outside Lattice through its Amazon SES service. Stripe processes payments for paid plans. We give information to authorities only when the law requires it or to protect people from serious harm.
How long we keep it
- When you close your account, your account details and content are removed from our live systems within 30 days. For your mailbox, we stop delivering mail to your address when the closure starts and remove the mailbox within those 30 days.
- Your Lattice address is kept after closure, with no link to you, so it can never be given to anyone else.
- Backups roll off on a schedule, so deleted content does not stay in them; the Privacy Notice gives the period.
- Web and firewall logs are kept for 30 days.
- Payment and tax records for paid plans are kept for 7 years, because tax law requires it.
What you can do
You can export your documents, turn on a second sign-in step, and close your account. To ask us to see, correct or delete your data, write to privacy@latticesuite.io from the address on your account.
