Set up and check Lattice Business Mail

Business Mail belongs to your organization’s workspace. A free Personal mailbox and its aliases are managed separately and do not grant business mailbox access.

1. Confirm the mailbox is ready

Ask your administrator to confirm the agreed address, licence seat, and mailbox provisioning. Administrators manage users under Admin → Users and, with the right permission, can choose Give mailbox for an active user.

The current business offering does not host an organization’s own mail domain and does not provide shared mailboxes. Use the address arranged with the Lattice team. Do not add your company’s DNS or mail-server credentials to the app based on this guide.

2. Open Mail in the right workspace

Sign in to the business app and choose Mail. If several connected accounts are listed, check the selected account before composing or replying. The From address and recipient should match the workflow you intend to test.

3. Check receipt and sending

Use another mailbox you control to send a short, non-sensitive test message to the business mailbox. Choose Check now if needed, then open the message and check its subject, body, and reply address.

Reply with a short test response. Confirm that it arrives in the other mailbox and that the sender address is correct. A message appearing in Sent does not by itself prove delivery to the recipient.

4. Check the basic controls

Test search, marking read or unread, moving a sample message to a folder, and reopening it. Use a disposable test message rather than moving important production mail during setup.

Remote images may be blocked to protect your privacy. A blocked-image notice is different from a failed mailbox connection. Business Mail is not advertised as end-to-end encrypted; planned encryption between Lattice accounts is a future feature.

If Mail is missing or not updating

Check the selected account and workspace, then ask the administrator about the licence and provisioning status. Share the visible error through Send feedback. Never send mailbox passwords, invitation links, or message contents in a support request.
